Universal Orlando Resort announced The Bourne Stuntacular is coming to Universal Studios opening in Spring 2020.
Universal today officially announced that the Bourne Stuntacular will be opening in the Spring of 2020 following the accidental leak last week. The stunt show will be in the renovated theater of the old Terminator 2:3D show that closed in October 2017. In a blog post Universal said that the replacement for Terminator was supposed to be open by the end of 2019 but it appears that date has been pushed back.
The Bourne stunt show will focus on the feature Jason Bourne movies. Universal promises it will be a blend of live action stunts and cinema that has never been seen before.
The show will include live actors, props and a big LED screen. (sounds somewhat similar to the show it replaced doesn’t it?)
Universal’s blog post announced the following
“The Bourne Stuntacular will follow Jason Bourne around the globe as sinister characters pursue him. This action-packed show will feature thrilling chase scenes, punishing fistfights, death-defying leaps and danger at every turn.”
Sounds like it should be a pretty impressive stunt show and I am excited to finally have another air conditioned show back at Universal Studios. Water world at Universal Hollywood is one my favorite shows in any theme park and if this new Bourne Stuntacular is anything as impressive, then I cannot wait for its arrival. I know not everyone in the theme park community is excited for the IP they have chosen but we all know that a good IP doesn’t always make a great show or ride….(looking at you F&F)
Since the announcement a new sign for the show has been put in place on the Terminator building and check out our twitter for any updates to the facade until Spring 2020.
