After just one week of operations the Skyliner at Disney World appears to have had an incident over the weekend, with one of the cabins at the Riviera resort colliding with another.
Guests were stuck on board for up to three hours while other cabins were evacuated. Guests needed to dive into the emergency pack located underneath the seat for supplies such as water.
At this time Disney have closed the Skyliner while investigations are taking place to find the root cause of the crash.
The guests staying at the resorts are being directed to the bus stops while the Skyliner is fixed.
*Update*
The Skyliner reopened though the line appears to be moving a little slower since the incident. Disney placed signs outside the entrance informing guests that the system may experience frequent stops which is normal for a gondola system like theirs.
