The History of Cedar Point and The World’s First Hypercoaster Magnum XL-200
Welcome back to another Expedition and our first to look at the history of Cedar Point. Here we take a look at Magnum XL-200 the worlds first Hypercoaster. This Arrow coaster was the first to break 200 feet in height and started the coaster wars between parks. Following the creation of Magnum XL-200 rival parks aimed to build taller and bigger rides to break this world record.
This episode is the first in a series looking at Hypercoaster’s and our next episodes will look at some other unique and special coasters that are over 200 feet.
