RipTide Race announced for Aquatica in 2020

Aquatica just announced RipTide Race for 2020 Florida’s first dueling water slide.

SeaWorld Orlando just announced via a press release that the new ride for 2020 at Aquatica will be RipTide Race.

Florida’s first ever dueling raft ride will sit atop a 68 foot tower with riders racing down in groups of 2. Featuring indoor and outdoor sections, the slide will have low walls so you can see the team you are racing against. The slide will be roughly 650 feet long and will have tight loops and fast accelerations.

David Heaton, Aquatica’s vice president said:

Riptide Race will offer a ride experience you won’t be able to get anywhere else in Florida. Aquatica will be the first water park in the state to have a thrilling, and more importantly, dueling water slide. Riptide Race is the perfect addition to our attraction portfolio, complementing what is already one of the most family friendly water slide lineups in Orlando.

Riptide Race will have a height requirement of 42 inches continuing Aquatica’s appeal to families.

The new ride will be located in the park next to Banana Beach Cook Out somewhere in the area we’ve highlighted below.

What are your thoughts on a new slide coming to Aquatica?

The announcement was slightly spoiled last month when the attraction was accidentally released in a press release but at least now it is official.

SeaWorld claim Aquatica has been voted the USA’s number one water park. It features 47 slides and 84,000 sq feet of beach. Do you head there often?
