New BBQ Food and Craft Beer location at Epcot
Today, February 19th 2020 the new Regal Eagle Smokehouse fast-casual restaurant opened in the America Pavilion at Epcot. The replacement for Liberty Inn which closed in July 2019 offers a regel-est restaurant with a cook off hosted by The Muppets – Sam Eagle.

The competition is fit for all patriots and and brings together backyard barbecue selections from across the country to battle it out for Sam’s top award. Throughout the restaurant location different Muppets present there BBQ offerings along the walls.
The restaurant also features a variety of Smokehouse themeing throughout.

Food
The menu is a huge update from the chicken nuggets and burgers of Liberty Inn. With a selection of BBQ dishes such as Kansas City smoke chicken, Memphis dry-rub pork ribs, North Carolina chopped smoked pork butt and a Texas Beef Brisket sandwich.
Between two of us we opted to try two different options. The American Platter which lets you choose any combination of the three meats, with one side and garlic Toast.
Our second option was the BBQ Burger which is a 1/3 lb Angus Burger on Garlic Toast topped with BBQ Pork and a Fried Onion Ring again with your choice of side.
Both options were delicious and reasonably priced. The meal was very filling and the optional sauces were the highlight, especially the Old Glory Sweet Mustard Sauce.
Beer
The restaurant has a large selection of Beer, Wine and Cocktails available at the outside Bar as well as a smaller selection available inside, including my favorite Jai Alai on draft.
Final Thoughts
Overall the food was delicious, reasonably priced and a huge improvement over the offerings at Liberty Inn. With one of my favorite beers on tap, multiple tasty food offerings and subtle but perfectly fitting themeing, the Regal Eagle Smokehouse is now a place i will visit multiple times on future visits to Epcot. Plus it is the only location at Epcot that has mobile ordering and a self service beverage station.
