The Troubled History of The Ultimate – Europe’s Longest Roller Coaster
Join us on an Expedition looking at the troubled history of The Ultimate. The T-Rex of Roller Coasters & Europe’s Longest coaster at Lightwater Valley Theme Park in Yorkshire, England.
Once the longest roller coaster in the world and still the longest in Europe this unique ride has a interesting story. It involves British Rail having to come to help complete it while also going wildly over budget. The issues did not stop after opening and with cracked axles and a rough ride.
The ride reaches almost 6 minutes in length and features two very different halves of its track. The Ultimate may not have long left on this earth so visit while you can.
