CityWalk Reopening Photos and Update
CityWalk is reopening today with new guidelines and increased safety measures.
The parking lot opened to opened to guests at 3:30pm with CityWalk opening at 4pm. Parking was free and no valet was being offered.
Reminder of those new safety measures:
Check out the photos that we were sent from the opening below:
After parking, the moving walkways to the security and temperature check were not in use.
Before entering the security area, a temperature check is taken. Anything over 100.4 is refused entry. The scanner is placed over the forehead and hats need to be removed for the check.
After this step you enter through the security hub as normal.
Heading into the familiar sight of CityWalk.
There are more signs around encouraging hand washing and floor markings indicating 6 feet apart.
Drummers welcome guests back.
Safety announcement informing guests of limited capacity and what is open.
Branded Sanitizer
Universal are selling branded sanitizer and masks.
Walls are up around the stores that were closed before the virus hit. No news on what is replacing them yet.
The globe keeps spinning.
You can walk to the entrance to both parks but no music is on.
A look at some ground work at the front of Universal ticketing.
On the food front the restaurants are spacing out the seating. Margaritaville had a two hour wait as it was at capacity. It was also running its regular menu. However they were offering plastic cutlery and plates.
The server was wearing a mask and served the table like normal.
Voodoo Doughnuts are available to order from the Universal App and provide a pick up time to go grab your order. Red Oven Pizza Bakery is also available to order from the App.
With CityWalk reopening I imagine it won’t be too long before BigFire, Toothsome, NBC and the others follow suit in opening.
Look out for more updates from us as they occur.
