Alton Towers Reopens for the 2020 On June 6th 2020
Alton Towers has been closed since November 8th. 210 days that covered the off season and the closure due to Covid-19. It is opening though with a twist.
Only the Gardens will be open for exploring and picnics for those who secure reservations. No rides and no thrills. The resort intends to fully open its rides and attractions with limited capacity and safety measures on July 4th 2020.
Thanks to Nemesis0_ we were able to get an early look at the park from the employee preview and take a peak at some of the additional signage and measures in place.
The Gardens are open for 12 pound per person and requires a reservation. Season Pass holders can get in for 1 pound but a reservation is also required. Face masks are not required on entry but temperature checks are. Any person who is displaying a high temperature (above 37.8 degrees) associated with fever will not be permitted to enter the Alton Towers Gardens.
